The length of the room is 2½ times the breadth. The perimeter of the room is 70 m. What are the length and breadth of the room?

Breadth =x

Length =2x

Perimeter =72m

Perimeter =2(l+b)

⇒72=2(2x+x)

⇒72=6x

x=12

∴breadth=12m

length=24m
