The length of the shadow of a man is equal to the height of man. The angle of elevation is
________.

dhruvsh: 45 degrres
dhruvsh: because tan 45 is equal to 1
dhruvsh: and as the height of man is opp side and shadow is adj side
dhruvsh: then their ratio becomes 1 as they both are equal

Length of shadow = Height of man

In the right angled triangle formed by the shadow and the man
.
Perpendicular = Base

So,

By applying tan theta, we get

tan theta = P / B

=> tan theta = 1 [ Perpendicular = Base]

=> tan theta = tan 45°

=> Theta = 45°

Angle of elevation = 45°

Hey mate !!!

the length of shadow = length of man .

so using , angle sign we get

tan45° = length of man / Length of shadow

1= length of man / length of shadow

hence, length of man = length of shadow

hence , proved

therefore , angle is = 45°

hope it helps: D

thanks
