the length of the sides of a triangle are 5cm,12cm and 13cm.find the length of perpendicular from the opposite vertex to the side whose length is 13cm

Area Of Triangle = Square Root Of (S(S-A)(S-B)(S-C))

Now S = 5+12+13/2 = 15

Now Simply Area = √(15*10*3*2)
Area = √ (900)

Area = 30
Now Area Of Triangle = 1/2*Base*Height

Now Base = 13
Now 
1/2*13*Height = 30

13*Height = 30 *2

13*Height = 60

Height = 60/13 = 4.61 cm
