the length of the sides of a triangle are 7, 13 and 12 cm.find the length of perpendicular from the opposite vertex to the side whose length is 12 cm.

Heron's formula - root(s x (s-a) x (s-b) x (s-c))
Where s is half of the perimeter of the triangle.

Once you substitute the values, you get

root(16 x 3 x 9 x 4)= root(1728)

Then divide this by 12(the base) and there you have the answer!
