Solution :-

Let breadth of three rectangles is B1 , B2 and B3 respectively .

given that, The length of three rectangle having equal area are 24cm,12cm,and 8 cm .

So,

→ Area of rectangle = Length * Breadth .

then,

→ Area rectangle 1 = Area Rectangle 2 = Area Rectangle 3 .

→ 24 * B1 = 12 * B2 = 8 * B3 = Let k .

→ 24 * B1 = k

→ B1 = (k/24)

similarly,

→ 12 * B2 = k

→ B2 = (k/12)

and,

→ 8 * B3 = k

→ B3 = (k/8)

therefore,

→ B1 : B2 : B3 = (k/24) : (k/12) : (k/8) = (k : 2k : 3k)/24 = 1 : 2 : 3 (Ans.)

Hence, the ratio of their breadth is equal to 1 : 2 : 3 .
