The length of two parallel sides of a trapezium are 30cm and 24cm. Find the area of the trapezium,if the perpendicular distance between them is 10cm.

Area of trapezium = 1/2 ( sum of parallel sides )× (distance between them)

= 1/2 (30+24)×(10)

= 1/2 (54)×(10)

=1/2 540

=270 cm
