• Length of parallel sides = 4m and 8m
• Distance between parallel sides = 6m
• Area of trapezium = ?

✪ Area of trapezium

→ ½ × sum of parallel sides × perpendicular distance between them

→ ½ × (a + b) × h

→ ½ × (4 + 8) × 6

→ ½ × 12 × 6

→ 6 × 6 = 36m²

Hence, area of trapezium is 36m²
