Let the third side be x.

Given that length of two sides are 6 cm and 8 cm.

.So as we know that sum of two sides are always greater than the third side for any triangle to be formed.

So the condition is x is always less than 14 cm(x < 14)

•Always we know that any side of triangle is always greater than the difference of two sides.

•So the condition is x is always greater than 2 cm.

(2<x).

Hence the third side always lies between 2 and 14

i .e 2<x<14
