By Pythagoras Theorem,

Here,

(13)^2 = (5)^2 + (half of chord)^2

169 = 25 + (half of chord)^2

169-25 = (half of chord)^2

144 = (half of chord)^2


12 = half of chord

========================
half of chord = chord/2
============================
12 = chord/2


Now,,

12*2 = chord

24cm  = chord


Then,

the length of chord is 24cm
