Answer:

65 cm²

Step-by-step explanation:

2 (L + B) = Perimeter of rectangle

2 [(2x + 5) + (x + 1)] = 36

2 (2x + 5 + x + 1) = 36

2 (3x + 6) = 36

3x + 6 = 36/2

3x + 6 = 18

3x = 18 - 6

3x = 12

x = 4

So length = 2x + 5

= 8 + 5 = 13 cm

So breadth = x + 1

= 4 + 1 = 5 cm

Area = L * B

Area = 13 * 5

Area = 65 cm²

Answer:-

A = 65cm²

Given:-

Perimeter of rectangle = 36 cm

L = (2x + 5)

B = (x + 1)

To find :-

It's area.

Solution :-

Perimeter of rectangle = 2 ( l + b)

36 = 2 [ (2x + 5) +( x + 1 )]

 18 = 2x + x + 5 + 1

 18 = 3x + 6

 18 -6 = 3x

 3x = 12

x =\dfrac{12}{3}

x = 4

put the value of x.

l = ( 2×4 + 5 )

l = (8 + 5 )

l = 13cm

B = ( x + 1)

B = (4 + 1)

B = 5cm

Now area of rectangle = l × b

= 13 × 5

= 65cm²

Hence, area of rectangle will be 65 cm².
