We know that hour hand complete one revolution in 12 hours ,it means that speed of hour hand is (1/12) degree/s.

On the other hand minute hand complete one revolution in 1 hour ,it means that the so speed of minute hand is 6 degree/s.

We know that linear

V = ω x r

So

linear speed of hour hand = (1/12) x 3 cm/s

linear speed of minute hand = 6 x 6 cm/s

The ratio of linear speed of  minute hand to hour hand =144:1 Or the ratio of linear speed of hour hand to minute hand =1:144
