Given,
length = 5 cm
breadth = 3.5 cm

Therefore,
Perimeter = 2 (length + breadth)
= 2 (5 + 3.5) cm
= 2 • 8.5 cm
= 17 cm
And,
Area = length • breadth
= 5 • 3.5 cm²
= 17.5 cm²

Therefore, required ratio
= 17:17.5 Ans.

The ratio will be 1:1.029.

Given data,

• Length and breadth of the rectangle are 5 cm and 3.5cm respectively.

• At first we have to calculate the perimeter the given rectangle by using the following formula :

Perimeter = 2×(Length of the rectangle + Breadth of the rectangle)

• So,Perimeter = {2×(5+3.5)} cm

= (2×8.5)cm

= 17 cm

•Now,we have to calculate the area of the given rectangle by using the following formula :

Area = Length × Breadth

•So,Area = (5×3.5)cm² = 17.5cm²

• Now,we have to calculate the ratio of perimeter to ratio in most simple numerical form.

So, perimeter : ratio = 17:17.5 = 1:1.029 (answer)
