The lengths of the diagonals AC and BD of a rhombus are 6cm and 8cm. Find

the length of each side of the rhombus. Also, find its area.​

Answer:let cross section point of AC and BD be O

so since we know that in rhombus diagonal are perpendicular bisector

so AO= 3 and BO = 4 so

AO^{2} + BO^{2} = AB^{2} \\                        (pythagoras theorem)

so 3^{2} + 4^{2} = AB^{2}\\

9 + 16 = AB^{2}

25=AB^{2}

5=AB

since each of rhombus is equal

area of rhombus = 1/2 *D₁*D₂

area of ABCD  = 1/2*6*8

area of ABCD = 3*8

Area of ABCD = 24
