The lengths of the diagonals of a rhombus are 16cm and 12 cm respectively. Find its perimeter.

rhombus are perpendicular

bisectors of each other,

⇒OA=6,OB=8, In △AOB by Pythagoras

theorem, AB² ==6²+8² ⇒AB=  \sqrt{100}

=10cm

As all sides of rhombus are equal,

⇒AB=BC=CD=DA=10cm

Perimeter = 4×10=40cm
