The lengths of the diagonals of a rhombus are 18cm and 24cm. What is it the distance between the parallel sides?

D1=18cm

D2=24cm

now we know that the diagonals of a rhombus bisect each other at right angles...

therefore....let they bisect at point O

therefore....For ∆AOB

AO=24/2=12cm

OB=18/2cm=9cm

therefore...the side of the Rhombus..

√(9²+12²)=√225=15cm
