The lengths of the diagonals of a rhombus are 24cm and 10cm. The length of each side of the rhombus is (a) 12cm (b) 13cm (c) 14cm (d) 17cm

Given Data:

The length of diagonals = 24 cm and 10 cm

Now,

0B =  1/2 * BD ( dia. of rhombus bisect at right angles

OB = 1/2 * 24 = 12 cm

Similarly,

OC = 1/2 * AC = 1/2 * 10 = 5 cm

Use Pythagoras theorem to find side:

BC = √12² + 5²

     = √144 + 25

     = √169

     = 13 cm

Hence Length of each side of rhombus is option a i.e 13 cm.
