Please note that the legs of the right angled triangle refers to its base and perpendicular.

Here

base = b = 16cm

perpendicular = p = 63cm

Hypotenuse = h = ?

by Pythagoras theorem,

h² = p² + b²

h² = 63² + 16²

h² = 3969 + 256

h² = 4225

h = 65cm

hence the third side is 65 cm long.
