area of parallelogram=1/2×sum of parallel side×height
=1/2×(8.7+5.3)×4.5
=1/2×14×4.5
=7×4.5
=31.5sq cm

Since the area of the trapezium can be found by the equation 1/2*(a+b)h

We can substitue here,

Area of trapezium= 1/2*(8.7+5.3)4.5

=31.5 sq. cm
