Length of first parallel line = 28m

Length of second parallel line  = 40m

Distance between two parallel line = 12m

We know that,

                          Area of trapezium = 1 * ( a + b ) * h

                                                             2

                                                          = 1 * 28 + 40 * 12

                                                             2

                                                       408m^{2}

Hence, the area of the trapezium is 408m^{2}
