Given :-

  • In a right angled triangle, the lengths of two sides are 6 and 8 cm.

To Find :-

  • Length of Hypotenuse.

Solution :-

Let,

  • First Side = Perpendicular (6 cm).
  • Second Side = Base (8 cm).

We will use Pythagoras theorem here,

Formula of Pythagoras theorem :-

H² = P² + B²

Here,

H = Hypotenuse,

P = Perpendicular,

B = Base.

Now, Substitute the values.

➙ H² = P² + B²

➙ H² = 6² + 8²

➙ H² = (6×6) + (8×8)

➙ H² = 36 + 64.

➙ H² = 100.

➙ H = √100.

H = 10 cm.

Therefore, Length of Hypotenuse = 10 cm.
