The property of triangle to use in this problem is;
Sum of the lengths of the two sides > the length of the third side. Accordingly,
|difference in length of the two sides| < length of the third side < sum of the lengths of the two sides.
So the inequality we get is,
2 cm < length of the third side < 14 cm.
