Let original side = a
New l= a(140/100) = 140a/100=7a/5
New b= a(60/100) =3a/5
New area = 7a/5 *3a/5 = 21a^2/25
Original area= a^2


Ratio = 21a^2/25

= 21 a^2 / 25* a^2
=21/25
Hence,ratio = 21:25
