Given:-

  • Focal length (f) of lens 'A' = 25Cm

  • Focal length (f') of lens 'B' = 60Cm

To Find:-

  • Power of both lens & Which lens have more power.

Solution:-

As we know that Power of lens is defined as reciprocal of its Focal length.

P = 1/f

Calculating the power of lens 'A'

Substitute the value we get

→ P = 100/25 ( 100cm = 1m)

→ P = 4/1

→ P = 4D

The power of lens 'A' is 4D...........(i)

Now Calculating the Power of lens 'B'

→ P' = 1/f'

Substitute the value we get

→ P' = 100/60

→ P' = 10/6

→ P' = 1.66D

The power of lens'B' is 1.66D.........(ii)

From equation (i) & (ii) we get

The lens 'A' has more Power.
