perimeter = 240

2[2x + x ] = 240

3x = 120

x = 40

now

length = 2x = 2(40) = 80

breadth = x = 40

area = 80x40 = 3200

of the rectangular park with path:-

length = 80 + 2 + 2 = 84

breadth = 40 + 2 + 2 = 44

area = 84x44= 3696m^2

area of the path = 3696-3200= 496m^2

cost of paving 496m^2
= 496x80
= Rs. 39680

Perimeter = 2(x+2x) = 240m
=》6x = 240
=》 x = 40m
Length = 80
Breadth = 40

The path will add 4m in both length and breadth.

=》80 × 40 = 3200m^2
=》84 × 44 = 3696m^2

3696 - 3200 = 496

The area of the path is 496m^2.

Cost = 496 × 80 = 39680
