Define x:

Let the breadth be x

Length = 3x - 6

Solve x:

Given that perimeter is 148 m

Perimeter = 2 (Length + Breadth)

2( x + 3x - 6) = 148

2(4x - 6) = 148

8x - 12 = 148

8x = 160

x = 20

Find the dimensions:

Breadth = x = 20 m

Length = 3x - 6 = 3(20) - 6 = 54 m

Answer: The length is 54 m and the breadth is 20 m

Hey there!

                     Let the breadth of the rectangle = x.

                                              So, According to the question, Length = 3x - 6 .

                  Perimeter = 2 ( Length + Breadth)
                                   = 2 ( 3x - 6 + x )

                                   = 2 ( 4x - 6 )
                                   = 8x - 12

According to the question,
                                           Perimeter = 148 m.

              Therefore, 8x - 12= 148

.                              8x = 148+ 12

                             8x = 160

                            x = 20

Hence, Length = 3x-6 = 60 - 6 = 54 m
and Breadth = 20m

Therefore , The required dimensions of the Rectangle are 54 * 20 m.
