Solution:

Given:

⇒ Length of rectangle is 1 cm more than twice its breadth.

⇒ Perimeter = 50 cm

To Find:

⇒ Length

Formula used:

⇒ Perimeter = 2 × (l + b)

Let breadth (b) of rectangle be x.

So, length (l) = 2x + 1

⇒ Perimeter = 2 × (l + b)

⇒ 50 = 2 × (2x + 1 + x)

⇒ 50 = 2(3x + 1)

⇒ 50 = 6x + 2

⇒ 50 - 2 = 6x

⇒ 48 = 6x

⇒ x = 48/6

⇒ x = 8 cm.

Now, Breadth = 8 cm.

Length = 2 × 8 + 1 = 17 cm.

 \huge{\textbf{\underline{As per Question:-}}}

Let the length of rectangle b l and breadth be b.

 \huge{\textbf{\underline{Solution:-}}}

Length is 1 cm more than twice the breadth.l = 2b + 1 Perimeter of rectangle is 50 cm.

Perimeter of rectangle = 2( l + b)

→50 =2 ( l + b)

→50 = 2 (2b + 1 + b)

→50 = 2( 3b +1)

→50 = 6b + 2

→50 - 2 = 6b

→ 48 = 6b = 8 cm

Breadth = 8 cm

Length = 2 × 8 + 1 = 17 cm
