It is true that, since time immemorial dog and man have been inseparable. This is proved again through the story of Chuck and his dog Duke in the story 'The Dog named Duke'. After the accident, Chuck is confined to his bed and loses the confidence to stand up on his feet. However, Duke does not give up and seems to be determined to push his master back into normal life. This motivation and effort from the part of Duke helps Chuck overcome the obstacles and he also achieves great things in his professional life. This quality and value of Duke that helped them build and share the bond, can be termed as loyalty and faithfulness to his master.
