a hilarious comedy the dear departed is an account of the degradation of moral values among the people of British middle class blinded by greed and everise the materialistic protagonist of the play show a total disregard for modesty Grace decency and filial obligation the death of the father triggers a quarrel over the inheritance rather than evoking grief in the hearts of the daughters and sons in law however the old man's Revival from his death apart from leading a comic effect to the play brings out his maturity and disconnect sheridan's that makes him this on his daughters this gives the readers a sense of relief and satisfaction the play convey the message that old people deserve to be treated with great care and love their days in the world are numbered does looking after them should be regarded as an opportunity rather than as a tiresome burden the old should make their wives discreetly without being sweet by emotions and sentiments

SukhdeepSingh: I hope u understand
SukhdeepSingh: as their is no full stop
Jerryscherry: Ya obviously but thanks though

The drama ' The Dear Departed ' is a valuable insight into human 's psychi. This drama deals with today's relationship between parents and their children . Parents on one side . never used to feel their children alone and helpless but on the other side, children only respect their property not about their parent's life. In the drama, we too see that the father was lying dead upstairs in his room but his two money-minded, materialistic and valgour daughters were talking about their father's property not about grieving.....

Hope it helps you............
