  2. Complex Sentence - The sentence have more than one verb, so more than one clause. It has one main clause(principal clause) and another subordinate clause. Example - When I was six, I went to hospital because I broke my leg.
  3. Compound Sentence - It consists of two or more principal(main) clauses. They are joined by a conjunction. Example - I washed the clothes and rinu dried them.
