The letters in the word "places" are permuted in all possible ways and arranged in the alphabetical order.Find the word at 48 position.

now next seq in alphabatical order will be AE**** so....

same way for AE**** possible ways for arranging * will be 4!=24

Thus, 48th element will be last element in AE**** that means AE followd by reverse alphabatical order! which is AESPLC
