Answer:

  • The length of the lid of a rectangular box is 40 cm.
  • The breadth of the log of a rectangular box is 10 cm.

Length of the tape ?

The length of the tape can be found out by Finding iut the perimeter of the ends of the lid.

Perimeter of a rectangle = 2 × ( l + b )

So, 2 × ( 40 + 10 )

Hence, 2 × ( 50 )

Final Answer: 100 cm.

The length of the tape required = 100 cm.

------------------------------

  • Perimeter of a reatangle = 2 × ( l + b ).
  • Area of a rectangle = l × b.
  • Circumference = 2πr.
  • Area of a circle = πr².
  • Perimeter of a square = 4 × s.
  • Area of a square = s².

ANSWER :-

Given:- L= 40 cm

B= 10 cm

To find :- the length of the tape required

Solution :-

Length of tape = Perimeter of lid

=2(l+b)

=2(40+10)

=2×50

=100cm

=1 m

Hence, this is the answer.

We require 1 m of tape for sealing the box.
