Total length of tape required = Perimeter of Rectangle

= 2 ( length + breadth )

= 2 ( 40 + 10 )

= 2 * 50

= 100cm

= 1m

Aɴsᴡᴇʀ:-

Length of the tape required is 1 m.

Explanation:-

Given, Sides of box is 40cm and 10cm

So, length of the tape required is = perimeter of the rectangle

\text { Perimeter of rectangle } \sf=2(l+b)

 \bf=2 \times(40+10) \mathrm{cm}=2×(40+10)cm

 \bf=2 \times 50 \mathrm{cm}=2×50cm
