Answer:

100 cm

Given:

Length=40 cm and Breadth=10 cm

To find:

Length of tape required to seal the rectangular box all around

Solution:-

We have to find length of tape

So;Length of Tape=length of rectangular box

Therefore

Length is given 40 cm and Breadth 10 cm

Perimeter=2(l+b)

=2(40+10)

=2(50)

=100 cm

----------------------------------

Tape required to seal the rectangular box all around is 100 cm

Solution:

Given:

=> Length of rectangular box = 40 cm

=> Breadth of rectangular box = 10 cm

To Find:

=> length of the tap required (Perimeter of rectangular box)

Formula used:

=> Perimeter of rectangle = 2 × (Length + Breadth)

So,

Put the values in the formula,

=> Perimeter of rectangle = 2 × (Length + Breadth)

=> Perimeter of rectangle = 2 × (40 + 10)

=> Perimeter of rectangle = 2 × 50

=> Perimeter of rectangle = 100 cm.

So, The tap required to sealed all around the box is 100 cm.
