Space is full of tiny particles of dispersed atoms and matter.This is referred to as spatial dust.stars are born when spatial dust clumps together around a single point.when the mass reaches a certain size ,the star begins to heat up inside ,where the temperature can  reach several million degrees.At that point it begins to give off light ,and that is when we consider that a star has been born.
