The life of a slum boy in my locality:-

Raja is a young boy who lives in a slum. He has turned 15 this October. Since the slum region is near my residence, I have known him since childhood. He is very different from kids of his age. When his friends are complaining about the lack of schools in the locality, he collects old books from people and has learnt reading and writing.

He is very interested in studying and wants to become an engineer. Though the financial conditions of his family has forced him to do the rag-picking job. He can hardly afford two square meals a day. But still, he is passionate about his dream.

He spoke to Aman Uncle in our neighbour who is a software engineer and got impressed by Raja's dedication. He has promised to fund for Raja's studies.
