Life is just linked with water. It is just impossible that without water life can exist. A normal human being can live without water for about 4-8 days ,but after that he/she will die. Water enables plant growth and provides a permanent habitat for many aquatic species. Our earth is divided into 70% water and 30% land. Out of 70% water, only 2.7 percent is freshwater out of which only 1% is potable and fit for human use. Freshwater is any naturally occurring water except seawater and brackish water. It includes water in ice sheets, ice caps, glaciers, icebergs, ponds, freshwater lakes, rivers, stream?s and even underground water. Freshwater is different from saline water because it has low concentration of dissolved salts. The source of almost all freshwater is precipitation from the atmosphere. The benefits of freshwater in life are-

1) It increases habitat area

2) It increases the number of endangered species.

3) It is used in irrigation.

Without freshwater life will be very very difficult as without freshwater we can't drink saline water,we can't use saline water for irrigation. If we use it the plants may not grow properly and can get infected with diseases due to which we can't prepare out food from them. If animals drink the saline water then they may die due to more amount of salt present in it and there will be nothing to eat for us and we will also die after sometime. So,without freshwater life will be not there on the earth.

HOPE THIS WILL HELP YOU with thanks
