Answer :

This question is based on cloze test.

The complete passage is as follows :

The life of soldiers stationed (a) (i) at Siachen is extremely tough. For  drinking water, they have to break ice (b) (ii) from the glacier, boil it and  drink it. There is one person (c) (iii) assigned to keep the water warm at all  times. The main task of the infantry (d) (iv) is to hold the ground and man  the post. To show their physical presence is important to (e) (i) keep the  enemy at bay.

Cloze test is an exercise in which students are tested on their ability to supply words that have been removed from a passage. This procedure tests their understanding of the given text.

Answer:

The day to day Life in armed forces is not like any citizens of India.

They are protecting our life, properties by living extremely hostile life.

Country borders at  16,000 feet above sea level at a temperature of -50 degrees at a location like Siachen Glacier, it is not an ordinary job.

Soldiers are not working for themselves but for the country.

They are ensuring the safety of our at the cost of theirs.

Their sacrifice is not easy to be so selfless and that makes these men extraordinary.
