To find:

Velocity of light in glass (v)

Solution:

As per Snell's law ,

    n = \frac{velcity of lightin vaccum(c)}{velocityoflightin medium(v)}

  • Velocity of light in vaccum = 3 * 10^{8} m/s

  • v = \frac{3 * 10^{8} }{1.5} = 2 × 10^{8} m/s

  • Velocity of light in glass​ is 2 × 10^{8} m/s.
