Light is reflected from every surface it falls. It is the reflection of light that helps us see things.

Light moves in rectilinear motion and it follows the laws of reflection :

1. Angle of incidence = Angle of reflection

2. Incident ray, reflected ray, and normal all lie in the same plane.

3. Light is reflected to different extents from different surfaces. Like mirror almost reflects all the light falling on it whereas a stone doesn't. Thus, the mirror causes glare.
