Line current of a 3 -phase alternator is given by:

I_{L} =\frac{S}{\sqrt{3}V_{L}  }

Where S = P/ cosФ            (S = Apparent power)

Given,

P = 5 MW

Power factor = cosФ = P/S

                                S =\frac{5 MW}{0.8}

                                 = 6.25 MW

Assume balanced source. so V_{L} = 220 V

I_{L} =\frac{6.25}{\sqrt{3}\ 220 }

    = 16401.99 A
