This is very simple.

Join the line from midpoint of one chord to the midpoint of the other chord.

These lines are perpendicular and bisect the chord.

So, the angle formed at one chord will be equal to angle formed  at the other chord as each of them equals 90°.

These are alternate interior angles.

Hence, the two chords are parallel.
