the linear equation that converts Fahrenheit(F) to celsius (C) is given by the relation C = 5F - 160 /9. (i) if the temperature is 35°C, what is thetemperature in Fahrenheit? (ii) if the temperature is 0°C wgat is the temperature in Fahrenheit and if the temperature is 0°F , what is the temperature In celsius? (iii) what is the numerical value of the temperature which is same in both the scale?

F = 9/5 × C + 32

i) F = 9/5 × 35 + 32
F = 9 × 7 + 32
F = 63 + 32
F = 95

ii) If C = 0
F = 9/5 × 0 + 32
F = 0 + 32
F = 32
If F = 0
0 = 9/5 × C + 32
-32 = 9/5C
(-32 × 5) / 9 = C
17.7 = C

iii) Let the temp. which is same in both be x.
x = 9/5 × x + 32
x - 9/5x = 32
-4x/5 = 32
x = (32 × 5) / -4
x = -40

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

(i) c=(5×86-160)/9=(430-160)/9=270/9=30

c=30°C

Similarly you can do for second by substituting 35 in c
