SoluTion :

➝ Velocity is a vector quantity having both magnitude as well as direction.

Let's assume that, velocity of the tip of second arm

  • At number 12 be v
  • At number 6 be -v

➝ Negative sign shows opposite direction.

Magnitude of change in velocity :

⟶ Δv = final velocity - initial velocity

⟶ Δv = (-v) - v

⟶ Δv = -2v

|Δv| = 2v
