To find ,

ABE and CDE are congruent .

Solution,

Consider Δ ABE and Δ CDE Solution ,

Since, AB is parallel to CD :

∠BAE = ∠DCE ----------(1)

∠EBA = ∠EDC------------(2)

From equation (1)

∠BAE = ∠DCE

AB = CD

From equation (2)

∠EBA = ∠EDC

By angle side angle (ASA) congruence :

we can say that,

Δ ABE ≅ ΔCDE

Hence, proved that triangles ABE and CDE are congruent
