x+2x - 4 = 0

=> 3x - 4 = 0

=> x = 4+3 = 7

=> x = 7.

4y - 12 = 0

=> y = 12+4 = 16.

first we draw a number line and on the left side you mark plus 1 to 16 and 0 . And 0 in between on the right side minus 1 to 16.

- 16 and +7 you mark in draw dark dot mark in number line.
