Given : The lines x-2y-6=0, 3x+y-4=0 , ix+4y+22=0 are concurrent
To Find : | ix | =
Solution:
x-2y-6=0, Eq1
3x+y-4=0 Eq2
=> eq1 + 2 Eq2
=> x - 6 + 6x - 8 = 0
=> 7x = 14
=> x = 2
3(2) + y - 4 = 0
=> y = - 2
( 2, - 2) is point of intersection
ix+4y+22=0
=> ix + 4(-2) + 22 = 0
=> ix = - 14
=>| ix | = 14
& i = -7
