A blood donation camp was organised by the Lions Club of Hayathnagar in Avanthi group of educational institutions. About 150 students, both boys and girls, donated blood. Avanthi group HR director Dr Jayaprasad was the chief guest.
Avanthi College principal Dr Ramachandra Reddy explained to the students the importance of blood donation. He observed that blood donors would become life-savers. 'Everyone should take up blood donation with a spirit of service', he observed.
NSS coordinator Srinivas, HODs, faculty members and many students participated in the camp.

The Lion Club and Apollo Hospital, Chennai organized a blood donation camp in our school on February 7, 2021. Students, teachers, and parents donated blood enthusiastically and the collected blood was sent to Indian Armed Forces’ Hospitals across the nation. Keeping in view the COVID-19 safety guidelines, proper social distancing and other SOPs were meticulously followed. The donors were given special certificates signed by Honorable Prime Minister of India.
Speaking on the occasion, Mrs. Lata Sharma, the Principal thanked the students, teachers, and parents for actively taking part in the blood donation camp. Director, Mrs. Meena Sharda praised the staff for making the blood donation camp a huge success.
