The list price of a table fan is ` 840 and it is available to a retailer at a discount of 25%.

For how much should the retailer sell it to earn a profit of 15%.

List Price=840
Discount %=25%(d%)
Selling price for wholesaler={(100-d%)/100}*L.P.
                                          ={(100-25)/100}*840
                                          ={75/100}*840
                                           =0.75*840
                                          =630
Cost price for retailer=Selling price for wholesaler
Cost price for retailer=630
Profit  %age=15%
Selling Price={(100+g%)/100}*C.P.
                   ={(100+15)/100}*630
                   =(115/100)*630
                   =(23/20)*630
                   =(23/2)*63
                   =724.5

Ans:-He should sell the fan at 724.5 Rupees to earn a profit of 15%.
