SP = 80
SP for 3 pieces 80×3 = 240
but sold for 225
so discount offered is 15
Now 15/240×100=6.25%

Given that the list price of a toy is Rs.80.

So cost price = 80

Shopkeeper sells 3 pieces for Rs.225.

Then selling price of 1 piece of toy = 225/3 = 75 Rs.

Selling price is less than cost price so discount can be calculated by :

Discount = Cost price - Selling price

Discount = 80-75=5

Now discount percent or rate is given by

Discount percent = ( discount)/ ( cost price) x 100%

Discount percent = ( 5)/ ( 80) x 100%

Discount percent = 1/ 16 x 100%

Discount percent = 6.25 %

Hence final answer is 6.25 %.
