The list price of watch is Rs. 2.700. the dealer allows a discount on the list price at the rate of 8%. Find the amount of discount and the amount due ?​

Answer:

amount \: of \: discount =  \frac{list \: price \times rate \: of \: discount}{100}

 = 2700 \times  \frac{8}{100}

 = 216

Amount Due = List Price (1 - Rate of Discount/100)

 = 2700(1 -  \frac{8}{100} )

 =  \frac{2700 \times 92}{100}

 = 2484
